It wouldn’t be a real comp if you didn’t feel that way right? I compete in ballroom dancing and it’s normal (but REALLY crummy) to feel that way. Now if you could just convince your brain of that. BTW, I kept thinking about you while I was watching the Olympics. It would be very interesting to hear your take on it. Also congrats on having the courage to do that last competition and explaining it to the rest of us.
Dear Sarah, thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I’m your age, and I’m returning to the ice after 20 years (literally). I’ve felt so lonely trying to get back into this sport, like I don’t matter because of my age or I’m just crazy for doing this. You have inspired me to keep trying to pursue my passion and find others like me. I look forward to reading more about your journey.
Thank you for sharing Sarah, I know some of us would be scared to admit this. I know when I use to compete, a couple days before competition, I would get a little jittery for skills I usually can easily do. I am sure you will be fine, best of luck!

Go get ’em!
Good luck, Sarah! Hope the competition is fun, in spite of the nerves!
Good luck Sarah! Give it your all!
I just started reading your blog and am dying to know how sectionals went! Did you remember how to spin? I hope it went well!
How did it go?
